Hello Family

Date: July 15, 2013
Area: POCOTELLO, IDAHO
Companion: Sister Matthews, Sister Whitnah

I am sorry, but this letter will not be as long as usual. Not a whole lot has been going on this week. But at the same time we have been super busy. My spiritual thought for the week.... Lets see.. I already used the Jesus Loves you one... But I know what I want to share! I am almost done with the whole Book Of Mormon! I am enjoyed reading it! I get to read from the scriptures for at least an hour every day. There are so many awesome stories that are in there and I have learned so much from them. I have read the Book Of Mormon and I have prayed to know that it is true. I love gaining knowledge and knowing what people are talking about when they tell stories from the scriptures! It is so fun! So I want to challenge everyone, even if you have read and prayed about it, to pray to know that the Book of Mormon is true. And I can promise you that you will receive an answer that it is true! :)
Today for our P-Day activity we were able to play Laser Tag and It was so much fun! It was fun to do something other that basketball! Hehe As much as I love basketball.. it is always good to change up the activity every once in awhile.
Well, this week as a district we wanted to see if we could reach 30 lessons in a week for each companionship and my companions and I were going to really work for that. So, we set out and we accomplished that goal! But, we went over 30 lessons. We taught 32 lessons! We were so happy. We usually teach maybe 25 lessons. :) We were so happy. This week we also had our zone training and President Brinkerhoff told our Zone Leaders that we are leading the mission! We are so happy about that!
This week we also had transfer calls. My companion Sister Matthews and I thought that we were going to be able to stay together. Our other companion Sister Whitnah left for Brazil this morning. But we got our calls and we were informed that I would be staying in the area and training a new sister that is coming out. She is also a visa waiter. I have this joke that I tell people that I am the holding house for missionaries. Just because they come and stay for 2-4 weeks and then they are gone. And since I have another visa waiter I am not sure how long I will have her. But I know that it will be fun training again.
Well family, I dont really have a whole lot to tell you all. But I will tell you that we had our missionary fireside last night and it turned out really well. The song that my companions and I did went really well. It was a lot of fun to be in the fireside and be able to sing. I was also able to play the organ! WAY FUN! I miss being able to play the organ.
Well, I guess that is all for the week. I havent gotten any letters from the family really so it would be nice if I could get some! I want to know what is going on with everyone! Haha Well, I love you all and I hope you guys are having an awesome summer! Stay cool! I know I am.... Well compared to you guys. It still gets hot up here. Haha
Love, Your Missionary,
Sister Halbison
