Elf on a Shelf

I thought it would be fun for Ashley to have an Elf on a shelf.  We have never done it at our house but I thought it would be a fun thing for them to do with the family they are staying with.  I think it was a hit.

We were introduced to the cutest new little friend last night.  We have named her "Ashriel" in honor of the two beautiful sisters living in our home.
Thank you for sharing Ashriel with us, and most of all thank you for sharing Sister (Ashley) Halbison with all of us in Idaho.  She is awesome.Just thought you'd enjoy seeing day 1 with Ashriel :D

Ashriel got to see Scout!

Ashriel got to see "Scout" our grandchildren's elf last night.  This is the note he left us.

I sent all this to our grandkids last night, how our elf's are friends.

The gkids loved it.  They got so excited that our Elfs are talking. ;-)

Even though I did it.  Everytime I walk into the living room it shocks me seeing Ashriel, and the party. Makes me giggle.  Hope I can leave it up for the day.  We try and follow the rules to not touch him (unless it's our turn) :-)

Ashriel’s last night.

Our little "Ashriel Dearbison" is telling us good bye until another year.  He will be off to help Santa tonight.  He posted the picture of Jesus and said "Wise Men Sill Seek HIM".  He has the hymn book opened to"God Be With You Till We Meet Again"

My reply to sister Rocknak:  For some odd reason this totally brings tears to my eyes.  Because I know this portion of life, of Ashley’s mission is over. Thursday may bring totally new adventures. You have been a blessing to these girls. I truly hope they get to stay together another month.
