This is Ashley with her new companion Sister Espiritu. I love it when mom’s text me pictures of the girls. I call them my girls. Each new companion becomes dear to me also. I have loved each one that Ashley has served with. Here is an excerpt from a letter Ashley wrote to me. Thanks to Julie Henderson for keeping this mom up to date on things.
“My new companion is Sister Espiritu! She has been out for a year. When I received the call it was from President Brinkerhoff, I was really surprised because you only receive a call from the mission president if you are going to be in leadership and the assistants call for all other transfer info. But President Brinkerhoff put me on a special assignment. Sister Espititu has been having a really hard time on her mission and this transfer is her last chance. She has been dealing with depression and so President said that if anyone could help her, it is me. And if anything happens with her, then I am to call President or Sister Brinkerhoff and she will then go home. So I am going to do everything I can to help her.”
