HELLLLOOOOO MY FAMILY!!!
How is everyone doing? I hope you all are doing great! I have been fantastic and everything here in Idaho is coming along! We are trying to find people each and every day! We just had a baptism this past Saturday and it was great! I love seeing people enter into the waters of baptism and when they come out and see the look on their face :) He is such a great guy! And what he did was so great! He was living with his fiance and that was not okay. So she either needed to move out or they needed to get married. And she was just going to move out so that they could wait to get married in the temple. But they decided that it would be best if they just got married. So!!! They got married! They are so happy now and I am so happy for them. Just a year until they can go to the temple together!
The next day Drew was comfirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! And, there was a family who are non members there and we were able to talk to them. :) They have a little girl who is friends with one of the girls in one of our wards and she was telling her parents that she wanted to go to church with her. So they were going to let her go with them by herself. But Her mom was talking with the members in our ward and she told them that the whole family was going to go! So We are hoping that we get to teach them and we hope that they will all get baptized! It is amazing to see the Lords hand in everything. They have been prepared to hear about this gospel. :)
So, something that my companion and I have been doing is we have been reading stories from the BOM to share with the people that we work with who are less active so we can get them involved in the scriptures. It has been fun reading all of the stories. So, my challange for everyone this week is to read the BOM and find your favorite story. And I would love to hear what they are! :D Soooooo, you know what that means? You get to email me or send me a letter! And for those who have been sending me letters and emials, thank you so much! I enjoy getting them :)
Well, last Monday we went hiking with a family in one of our wards and it was so much fun. I really enjoyed it. The hike made me think of Northern AZ and it was really pretty. When I get home, I plan on going hiking a lot because it was so much fun! I was going to send you some pictures, but I forgot my card reader in my backpack at home. So I will try to remember it for next week so you can see all of the goofy pictures we took!
Tuesday we had our zone training and it was really good. It made me think a lot about how I need to become a better missionary each and every day. I have so much to work on, I need to learn more about the gospel, and I really need to study the scriptures. Not only the Book of Mormon, but also the Bible. Because people here know the Bible like the back of their hands. Lol But I am not sure where to start and how to study. There is so much to learn in just a short amount of time. Its kind of like when you want to deep clean your house but you arent really sure where you need to start. Lol
Wednesday we were able to see Sara. nothing new going on with her. Still telling us that the Book of Mormon is not true. But we did schedule a church tour with her so that we can show her who we are with out the Book of Mormon being part of the lesson. We are hoping that she will feel the spirit as we show her around the church and talk about everthing that happens when we do go to church. We went to a members house Sister Bourgholthaus (good luck saying her name!) and we made some yummy desserts for a R.S. activity that we were going to! We didnt get to stay at the activity very long because we had to go to the stake center because Drew was having his interview that night.y
Thursday we had our weekly planning and of course it was so much fun! Haha But before that we went to the Family History Center so we could make Drews baptism programs. They turned out pretty good. I am getting really good at this program making thing and putting together baptisms. So when I get back home and someone in the family has a baptism. I can be in charge! Haha :) Thursday it was super windy and there were storm clouds covering the sky and we were waiting for it to pour down on us... but it didnt :( SAD DAY! We were really sad. I was really looking forward to the rain. It would be like a little taste of home. :) But there was a really pretty double rainbow all the way across the sky. Yeah, not really, it wasnt all the way across the sky. I just wanted to say that because of the youtube video. And if you dont know what I am talking about... youtube "double rainbow all the way across the sky" Its a good one! :) So, there is this guy named Joe and we have had many appointments set up with him but he hasnt kept them. So we went to see him on Thursday and he was home in his front room and we could totally see him because his blinds were open. But he didnt open the door! Little turd! Haha If he doesnt want to meet with us he should just say no thank you. Lol But its all good, we are putting the ward mission leader on him :)
Friday we went to go see our next door neighbor and she is really sweet. She was telling us earlier this week how she felt that she was led to this house and that she needed to be there. And she was telling us how she lost her daugther to cancer and that she herself has had cancer. it was a really sad story. But I was talking to her and I told her that the spirit she has is so strong adn that there is a reason she was led to this house and a reason that she lives next door to missionaries. It truns out she is a member and she is not active. We are hoping to work with her and get her active in the church. There is a reason for everything! And Heavenly Father knows what we need in our life. If there is ever a time in your life where you feel nothing is going right. Just remember that you have someone there with you. you have Heavenly Father and his plan is a perfect plan. Just have faith in Him that everything will work out the way it is suppose to!
Well family, I hope that all is going well and that you are enjoying life! :) I miss all of you and I can not wait to see all of your beautiful faces again! :D
